Activating Corona Renderer for Cinema 4D
The 'FairSaaS' license for Corona Renderer for Cinema 4D will prompt you to activate automatically or once any Corona rendering is initiated. Please note that you must be connected to the internet for a successful activation. This is a one-time process and you may choose to disconnect if you wish to work offline in the future.
Activation steps:
1. Download the universal installer (https://corona-renderer.com/download/)

2. Install Corona Renderer for Cinema 4D on your system.
3. Run Cinema 4D and make Corona Renderer the default renderer.
4. An activation window should pop up. If it doesn't,Press ctrl+r (Win) or cmd+r (Mac) and render a blank scene.
5. Select “Activate FairSaaS/EDU” locate and insert your Customer Zone login information (provided to you in Customer Zone email earlier).
6. Press 'OK' and BAM!! – Your license is now activated.
Troubleshooting:
If you are experiencing any problems with the activation. For example, Corona Renderer does not allow rendering and displays a message such as:
To activate the demo, Click on 'Activate license' and select 'Activate demo for 45 days' and then press 'Next'. If successful, you should now be activated.
For FairSaaS/EDU activation:
Ensure that you are connected to the internet and in the licensing drop-down window, select 'FairSaaS/EDU' license then press 'Next'. You will be prompted to enter your customer zone email and password. Please note that a 'demo' license does not require an email or password.
Once successful, you should see a final window pop-up such as: Fl free download for mac.
You should now be all set to continue working with Corona Renderer.

Note: The FairSaaS/EDU license will automatically renew each month or year depending on your license type. Did you know? If you are running an older version of Corona, It is free to upgrade to the latest version provided you have an active subscription. Upgrading will not disrupt your license in any way.
How to activate Corona Renderer on a render node?
Generally, the installation and activation process is exactly the same on workstations and render nodes, so you can use the above steps. If, for example, your render nodes do not have an internet connection, or they do not have Cinema 4D installed with its UI enabled, please see the following guide:
Environment variable activation
Variable name: CORONA_ACTIVATION
Variable values:
- For email and password, use format “email:password”
- For licensing server address, use format “LS:address”
NOTE: if you use the 'email:password' format, please consider that your login credentials are exposed to anyone with access to the computer!
My license expiration date is wrong!
The 'Activated until' date printed inthe Corona About window is NOT a date when Corona Renderer will stop working for you.
Corona Render For Mac Catalina
It shows a future date, at which the license will be automatically extended, provided that the computer is connected to the Internet or visible to the Corona Renderer Licensing Server. Don't worry if that period is shorter than expected - it will get automatically extended anyway.

We are pleased to announce that Corona Renderer for ARCHICAD Alpha 2 is released!
We’ve been developing this version of Corona Renderer for a while; Alpha 1 was just for internal testing, but Alpha 2 is now ready for you to test!
Since this is an Alpha version, it is far from feature complete, and there are very likely some bugs in the software, so please keep that in mind (especially if considering using it for any commercial projects! You are welcome to do so, but be aware that there may be crashes, instability, missing features, etc.)
We need your testing and feedback to make Corona Renderer for ARCHICAD into everything you want it to be, and we appreciate any testing that you can do for us!
The plugin is already quite advanced and supports:
- Interactive Rendering takes the guesswork out of setting up materials, lighting and scene composition, and removes the need for test renders.
- The Corona VFB offers a wide range of post-processing effects without needing to use external software, with tone mapping, bloom and glare, vignetting, and more.
- Denoising, which can reduce render times by up to 70%.
- Corona Materials and Textures with a custom texture editor.
- Support for native ARCHICAD geometry, lights, and materials.
Note: The current Alpha is for ARCHICAD for Windows; in the future, we may develop a version for macOS (if you know any macOS developers, point ’em to our jobs page!)
